Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! It snowed a little bit this week! It sadly didn't stick to the ground, but it was nice to see some snow again :)
This week was busy, we have been doing a lot of contacting, setting up lessons and such.
We had a bit of a surprise one of the mornings. We got a call from the Assistants to the President (AP's, Elders who work closely with our Mission President) and they informed us that one of them would be joining us for the day, we had one hour to prepare for them to come. To be honest I was a little nervous, but it ended up being a great learning experience. We were able to teach a couple lessons with the AP and I learned lots from teaching with him. He also gave me some great advice and a couple tips to improve my own teaching skills which was nice!
Leslie is progressing well, we continue to teach her a couple times a week! She loves how much peace the teachings of Jesus bring into her life.
It really is amazing how much peace we can find in the Gospel. Everything I learn comforts me. The Gospel can be very calming. Especially prayer. When I pray I feel the closest to my Heavenly Father, I am filled with comfort, peace and hope. It is important to be able to find peace, especially during these difficult times. And one great way to find peace is through prayer.
I encourage all of you to take your time when you pray, ponder about the day's events and when you pray with reverence and gratitude I can assure you, you will be filled with love and peace.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!! Elder Spencer
